End of July........ALREADY?!!!

My kids found this baby bird they "rescued" and thought I should do something about..... I made them put it back in the yard.....and momma bird was soon back looking for it.

At a local fair on Sunday

We stopped at inlaws on the way home.

 Finally heading home.

We had to get rid of our cat.  She had been struggling with being litter trained and I put up with the smell so long because it's Nicole cat but finally decided she needed to go outside.... well, my neighbor threatened to trap and dispose of the cat so we took it to a friend's house to keep it out of his hands.

Norm has been having some medical issues lately..... the man who doesn't do doctors and dntists finally had to cease his boycott when he got a couple of infected teeth.  The dentist sent him to the oral surgeon who sent him to the family doctor to get something done about his blood pressure which was WAY too high before they would remove his teeth..... Norm couldn't believe how quickly the b/p med worked.  Hoping it continues to work.  Next week he gets his teeth removed at the oral surgeon.

3 Ponderings From Friends.

myspace layouts, myspace codes, glitter graphics what? you got rid of our tiger look-alike-cat?? awww. but i know, you have to do what you have to do. Neighbors can be mean about pets. Our neighbors hate our german shepherd but what can I do, he barks when people walk by. He's not as bad as our other neighbors with those little dogs who bark incessantly but people like those little dogs better than big old ones like ours. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I love where you all live. Its so nice and seems like such a great small community. I love the fair pics and Lexi's outfit and hair looks so cute! Nanny's flowers are so beautiful! I love it and can imagine how much fun it would be to cut fresh flowers. *sigh* I have to buy mine already cut. About Norm, he has to take care of himself. Continued high blood pressure leads to artherosclerosis, meaning the rushing pressure of the blood will eventually lead to damage of the arteries and may cause a hemorrahgic stroke. I dont want to scare you Denise, really. But I have the exact same issue with my hubby. He has chronic high blood pressure and he is taking meds right now to control it. The doctor tells him if he can lose some weight and excercise, he probably can lower his blood pressure. Plus both our hubbys are still young. I've been trying to get him to eat more salads and less fat BUT thats tough when the fatty stuff tastes better. So I tell my hubby about artherosclerosis, etc etc because its true, we only have one bodies and we have to take care of it. Plus I know Im one to talk because I have lots of weight to lose myself. But amazingly, my BP and cholesterol are fine. Anwyay, even my doctor and my friend who is a dentist has high blood pressure so what Im saying is that unfortunatly, its not out of the ordinary. And that even he

alth care people get high blood pressure. I think it has a lot to do with the foods we Americans enjoy, nice fatty foods that aren't necessarily good for us. Anway my dear, I wish you a happy weekend with your wonderful family. I truly enjoy visiting you in here, you are such a good person and a nice online friend....

Hi Denise, Thanks for stopping by my blog. I loved the High Wire dog picture and the jump roping dog, how cute.

Thanks for passing on the Hi from Melissa. I don't think she's come to my new blog yet.

I hope that Norm will get better soon. I think that it's so easy to avoid the doctor when you think it might be bad news.

It looks like you are still doing great on your weight loss plan. I'm restarting mine on Monday. My youngest daughter (15 yr old) has decided that she's coming to the gym with me at 5 am. I wonder how long that will last....

I decided to read one of Jillian Michael's exercise plan books and it seems to make sense and be easy enough to follow. I guess we'll find out Monday. It looks like it will be quite strenuous.

Have a wonderful weekend.
